Indonesia Mengajar

This posting is inspired by my friend who was asking me about what could she do in which very different with her life now. And I suddenly remember about this program and offered her about this.

I know this program through email that someone sent me a few months ago and offered her to be one of it.

Indonesia Mengajar is kinda volunteer program which recruit a young generation to teach in the rural area for about one years.
The volunteer was chosen which of course someone who has a good background, good achievement, well educated and great spirit to be an elementary teacher. the main aim is as an effort to educate the indonesian students and it is believed that the presence of the best young generation teachers will support the improvement of ours education.  

Indonesia Mengajar recruits the best academician from all of the university. The presence of this people is to teach, educate and inspire the students in rural area, also will be the bridge between rural society with the modernity from urban. In those rural area, the young teacher will have new friends, new house, new family and they will be part of those villange and vice versa, meaning to say that the teacher will contribute many knowledge, inspiration and a memory to the people in those area.

Indonesia Mengajar is convinced that "Setahun Mengajar, Seumur Hidup Menginspirasi"
